7th Annual Goldenrama in Sandy Springs

The 7th annual Goldenrama put on by Adopt A Golden Atlanta (AGA) will takes place on Sunday, October 24th at the Field at Concourse Office Park in Sandy Springs. Goldenrama celebrates the dogs rescued by AGA who have found homes. The event is from Noon- 4PM and features lots of fun activities for golden retrievers and their families to enjoy including a canine costume contest, training tips, dog games, pet psychic, silent auctions, and more. Typically, more than 300 golden retrievers attend the event.

Howl-O-Weenie 2010

A fun and entertaining event, Howl-O-Weenie, is coming to Dunwoody on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 10AM- 4PM. Dachshund’s and their owners from all over the area and beyond will converge on Brook Run Park in Dunwoody for howling and costume contests, Dachshund Dash Races, microchipping, nail trims, bluegrass music, and an artist/vendor market.
Even if you don’t own a Dachshund, there will be plently of fun for everyone at the beautiful, 102 acre, Brook Run Park located just minutes from Glen Lake Apartments in Dunwoody. Through our new partnership with Mostly Mutts, Glen Lake will be showcasing an Adoptable Pet of the Month. Our pet-friendly apartments in Atlanta welcomes dogs, and the dogs we are featuring for adoption are well suited for apartment living.
This month we’d like for you to meet Baxter. He is available for adoption from Mostly Mutts and will make a great companion.
Baxter was in horrible condition and was about to be put down at a local shelter when Mostly Mutts saved him. They have been treating his skin for mange and expect him to be fully healed soon.
