October Pet of the Month

The Pet of the Month for October at Glen Lake Apartments is Wendy Darling! Wendy is a 5 year old multi-talented shitzu (about to turn 6 on October 29th) that was adopted at the age of 2 by proud owner and mommy, Jeanne Sharbuno. Wendy was 2 days away from being euthanized at the Hall County Animal Control when she was rescued by the SmallDog Rescue & Humane Society.

Wendy has come along way since that time and is now a Happy Tails therapy dog helping people of all ages with physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs. She also makes it up to the Winnwood Retirement Community in Marietta once a month to perform tricks for the seniors. Wendy can dance, roll over, play timeout, London Bridge, high five, and shake!

Wendy also likes to travel and is a frequent pet flyer with Midwest Airlines having flown 16 flights. Her favorite place to visit is Wisconsin where the weather is nice and cool and she gets to see grandma and grandpa.

Her mommy and Glen Lake resident, Jeanne Sharbuno, has lived at Glen Lake Apartments since 2002. Her favorite part of living at this pet-friendly community community is the fabulous location and the fact that her home feels more like a residence than an apartment. Jeanne works close by at the Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre where she is an instructor. By nominating Wendy for pet of the month and winning, Jeanne will receive $50 off her next month’s rent.
