St. Patrick’s Day Events Near Sandy Springs

There are several St. Patrick’s Day events happening near Glen Lake Apartments this year. One of the largest bashes is taking place the Saturday before St. Patty’s Day at Meehan’s Public House in Sandy Springs on March 13th at 2PM. Meehan’s, Dave FM, and Guinness will be hosting “Shamrock & Roll 2010″ featuring several bands including Yacht Rock, Francisco Vidal, REMakes, and more. Tickets can purchased in advance or purchased for $10 at the door. Meehan’s will also be open at 9:30AM on St Patrick’s Day (March 17th) serving half-priced Irish breakfast until 11:30AM.
Fado Irish Pub in Buckhead is another popular location for St. Patrick’s Day. Fado has a week long schedule of events culminating on March 17th with a huge outdoor festival. Read More→
Anne Frank Exhibit Moves to Sandy Springs

Residents at Glen Lake Apartments in Sandy Springs will no longer need to drive downtown to see some of Atlanta’s top exhibits. The “Anne Frank in the World” exhibit just moved to Sandy Springs and is now open in the Parkside Shopping Center on Roswell Rd. Just minutes from Glen Lake, this exhibit is the country’s largest Anne Frank exhibit.
The Anne Frank exhibit tells the story of Anne Frank’s life with more than 600 photos. Sandy Springs is hoping to make the exhibit a permanent fixture in the city but that will depend on donations. So take an afternoon getting a little history and help make this exhibit a permanent part of Sandy Springs’ cultural life.

There are so many advantages to living at Glen Lake Apartments, one of which is the amazing location. These Dunwoody apartments are only minutes from Perimeter Mall and all of the shops and restaurants of the area. Unfortunately, with so many fantastic options, many of which are considered to be the best restaurants in Atlanta, how can you possibly choose a place to eat?
Well, it’s because of dilemmas like this one that Dunwoody features an event where you can sample many restaurants before visiting them. The annual “Taste of Dunwoody” is taking place this Friday, February 5th at the W Perimeter hotel. Over 25 restaurants will be offering samples of their signature cuisine. It’s a great opportunity to taste delicious food from local restaurants including Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Wildfire, Flying Biscuit, Food 101, Fresh Market and more.
The ”Taste of Dunwoody” starts at 7 PM and tickets can be purchased for $45.00 by clicking here. All proceeds will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
