April Pet of the Month

The pet of the month at Atlanta’s most pet friendly apartment community, Glen Lake, is typically a cute, happy dog. However, one pet that was just too cool to pass up on for pet of the month in April is one and a half year old Mohawk, a Cockatiel bird!
If you look closely at the picture then you will see Mohawk sitting on his owner LaVonne’s shoulder…one of his favorite places to hang out. Mohawk can say a few words such as “pretty bird” and likes to woof whistle.
LaVonne and her husband Chris got Mohawk from a bird show while living in Phoenix. In addition to Mohawk, they have three dogs and we hear that Mohawk really loves to tease them. The dogs know better than to mess with Mohawk though.
LaVonne and Chris moved to Glen Lake in March of this year. The pet friendly aspects such as the dog park and walking trails really led them to this community. Congrats Mohawk on being the April pet of the month!
